How to use AquaDissect

Find guidance for account access, class activities, and recorded progress.

First student session

Activate your administrator-provided account, sign in, open Home and choose Start orientation. Finish the five-step guide and check its saved status. You can complete orientation while rabbitfish and Safety & Tools content remain in review. An empty lesson list does not block this guide.

Quick reference

Activate a student account

Use the institutional email and one-time activation code supplied by your administrator. Set your own password. Research consent remains separate from account activation.

Request instructor access

Open Instructor registration from the login page. An administrator must approve your account and assign your MB 304L sections before you can manage class activities.

Start a lesson

Open Safety & Tools and complete your required module first. Then open an assigned species lesson from your class section. Explore labels, follow the guided sequence, and complete the formative checks.

Manage people and sections

Administrators provision accounts, assign instructors, and preview roster imports in People & sections. Table search, column sorting, and pagination help find records. Expand a row to see its actions.

Use the class calendar

View schedules in month, week, day, or list format. All displayed times use Philippine time. Staff may add or cancel events in authorized sections. Cancelled events remain visible for reference.

Read notifications

The bell shows unread updates. Open Notifications to review new assignments, class events, account approvals, and content decisions. Mark individual updates or the whole inbox as read.

Understand learning reports

Reports show recorded formative attempts and safety progress. Filter by section, date, and activity, then download CSV. Unattributed historical records are kept separate from class summaries. These operational records do not establish learning effectiveness.

Study offline and synchronize

While signed in, download assigned lessons from Offline access. Downloaded materials and your learning context stay on this device. Queued work synchronizes only with the same account after reconnection. Sign out when sharing a device; reconnect and sign in again to restore your learning context.

Review and publish content

Instructors submit prepared content for faculty review. Publication still requires the existing approval rules. Administrators publish approved versions; learners receive only authorized published lessons.

Get account support

Contact your administrator for activation, enrollment, approval, or password assistance. Never share your password with another learner.
